Here is a bit about our staff team and other key leaders:

Rev David Hammond

David is usually talking, or firing off a new idea, some of which are quite good…
Being a husband and Dad of a busy and lively family is priority as is making sure there’s always time to stop and be still with God. Being outdoors in the garden is a major recharge activity as is time with friends and family usually discussing ideas/sport/church/whatever over good meaty food, and good cheese and spirits.
David has a passion to see his city and nation changed in his life time, to upgrade the armour of every believer who’ll let him and to entrepreneur the heck out of anything he can.
Spare moments are for novels, to read and dream of writing…

Caroline Hammond

Caroline leads the church with her husband David. She’s a mother of three lively kids, heads up the worship, has a passion for the prophetic and leads Form Coventry with Gareth.

Stevey Cater

Stevey is part of the leadership team with particular responsibility over ‘making stuff happen’. She’s in charge of all things Operations… Stevey is a huge fan of details and planning, and loves helping people’s dreams and visions come to life.

Stevey is an introvert who loves living in community. Coffee is one of her favourite things – drinking it, making it or just talking about it… If you have any coffee shop recommendations do let her know!

Stuart Torpey

Stuart is joining the team in August 2017.

Sarah Ashelby

Sarah oversee’s all the Children’s work at Westwood- which is incredible. She also leads and oversees Families Missional Communities and helps us all to worship together at our Multi-generational services. She has passion to equip good relationships in the church, from Marriage Preparation, to Parenting and marriage relationships. She is also loves to help the church express their spirituality together amongst all generations from the oldest to the youngest.
She is married to Mike with two wonderful children. They are currently living in a community house with another family and are enjoying living as an extended family. Sarah enjoys hosting parties, drinking tea, and going to theme parks (not all at the same time!) Surprisingly, winter is her favourite season because she loves to stay home snuggled up on the sofa under a blanket with a good novel (oh, and winter means Christmas!)

Gareth Irvine

From May 2016, Gareth is excited to be joining the Diocese of Coventry Acceler8 team as a Development Leader,  based at Westwood Church with an initial focus on overseeing student work & developing a gap year programme for young adults called Form.
Gareth loves taking people out for coffee and asking loads of questions to help them work out what God is up to in their lives and their communities.  He loves helping people dream, strategise and plan the next thing….!
Gareth leads Saint Aidan’s, a missional community in the Wood End area of Coventry, working in partnership with the local parish church.  They are permanent members of the Order of Mission and work with Kairos Connexion to develop coaching resources for church leaders across England & Wales.  As a family, they are learning how to follow the adventurous call of Jesus to grow in faith, hope & love together.
