unnamed

There are over 2 million students in the UK but less than 2% follow Jesus

We believe that your student years can be one of the most fruitful times of your life. We partner with Fusion to equip, resource and inspire students to live and share the life transforming message of Jesus, be part of one of the most exciting mission fields in the UK and keep growing in your relationship with God whilst you’re at uni. Imagine what could be possible with Jesus for the students in our city. What if… it’s the way we walk?

We believe that belonging a local church is the best way to keep dreaming and living this adventure. We’d love to say hello. We’d love to welcome you to our family. We’re praying for you.

Here’s a little flyer we made last year with some of the ways you can connect with us. You can pick one up at the University Chaplaincy, grab a copy from us at the CU Church Search, or pop into the church building itself and say hello.

Here are some the main places of connection for Students:

Church Search

In October, meet on the Piazza (don’t worry- you’ll know where it is soon) at 9.15am to hear about different churches. If you want to try out Westwood, we’ll walk you over to church for some brunch with other students before the service starts at 10.30am.

Sunday Celebrations

Every Sunday, we’d love to welcome you with refreshments from 10.15 before we begin our Morning Celebration (10.30) of worship, a bible-based talk, stories of what God is doing amongst us and opportunities to pray and get prayed for. Once a month, we share in communion together. There are loads of opportunities to get involved in hospitality, worship, children work if you choose to make Westwood your church whilst at Warwick.

In October, we join in with the CU Church Search on the 2nd & 9th of October from 9.15am in the Piazza, before heading off around 9.4am on foot.

For all Sundays in October our Buzz missional community will be hosting a student welcome brunch at the Vicarage (behind the church car park) from 10am before the service, where any students who want to try us out can come and meet us over pancakes/muffins/waffles.  Yum!

BUZZ! (Undergraduate Community)- Sundays & Thursdays

On Sunday after the main service join in with other students and David & Caroline (the church leaders) for food and fun which will most likely be hosted at the vicarage (behind the church car park) but check with one of the students.

On Thursdays, arrive at 7pm at the vicarage, to pursue the presence of God as we seek his face, engage with his word,  pray for each other and our friends and have a fun time.

Then on the third Sunday of the month, there is no service at Westwood but instead we meet together as a community and go out being church to the people we meet.

For more details, please make yourself known to the students and/or David and Caroline.

There are also loads of other missional community groups in the church that students can choose to connect with – we’d love to signpost you to one of these if this is something you’re interested in.

International Students

We are students who are each other’s family while at Warwick. We love:

– Being together (eating, having fun, hanging out, going on trips and holidays…)
– Exploring Jesus, God and faith (praying, worshipping, reading the Bible…), and
– Welcoming friends to join us.

Gloves meets at 7pm (at 147 de Montfort Way, Cannon Park, CV4 7DU) for delicious meals, games, Bible discussions, socials. We also learn to cook and bake British food, and have day trips to see different parts of the UK.

Chrysalis meets at 7.00pm fortnightly (at 15 Squires Way, Coventry, CV4 7EJ). We want to be family to each other and provide a safe place for those seeking God to explore, sharing God’s love together.

You can walk to both community gatherings from campus! Come hang out, get to know lots of other students, eat good food, encounter God, and bring your friends.
