There are over 2 million students in the UK but less than 2% follow Jesus
We believe that your student years can be one of the most fruitful times of your life. We partner with Fusion to equip, resource and inspire students to live and share the life transforming message of Jesus, be part of one of the most exciting mission fields in the UK and keep growing in your relationship with God whilst you’re at uni. Imagine what could be possible with Jesus for the students in our city. What if… it’s the way we walk?
We believe that belonging a local church is the best way to keep dreaming and living this adventure. We’d love to say hello. We’d love to welcome you to our family. We’re praying for you.
Here are some the main places of connection for Students:
If you’re arriving this September and you’d like to connect with us, why not checkout Fusion’s very lovely Student Link Up site where you can get in touch with some of our current student welcome team and ask us any questions about starting university at Warwick?
Every Sunday, we’d love to welcome you with refreshments from 10.15 before we begin our Morning Celebration (10.30) of worship, a bible-based talk, stories of what God is doing amongst us and opportunities to pray and get prayed for. Once a month, we share in communion together. There are loads of opportunities to get involved in hospitality, worship, children work if you choose to make Westwood your church whilst at Warwick.
Near the start of term, Warwick Students Union often organise a gathering to help students find and commit to a local church – more details on the Warwick CU webpage
BUZZ! (Undergraduate Community)- Sundays & Thursdays
On Sunday after the main service join in with other students and David & Caroline (the church leaders) for food and fun which will most likely be hosted at the vicarage (behind the church car park) but check with one of the students.
On Thursdays, arrive at 7pm at the vicarage, to pursue the presence of God as we seek his face, engage with his word, pray for each other and our friends and have a fun time.
Then on the third Sunday of the month, there is no service at Westwood but instead we meet together as a community and go out being church to the people we meet.
For more details, please make yourself known to the students and/or David and Caroline.
There are also loads of other missional community groups in the church that students can choose to connect with – we’d love to signpost you to one of these if this is something you’re interested in.
We are students who are each other’s family while at Warwick. We love:
– Being together (eating, having fun, hanging out, going on trips and holidays…)
– Exploring Jesus, God and faith (praying, worshipping, reading the Bible…), and
– Welcoming friends to join us.
You can walk to the student community gatherings from campus! Come hang out, get to know lots of other students, eat good food, encounter God, and bring your friends.
